sounds like this bloke had one hell of a weekend.
And wound up rather lucky to survive it.

Took his eyes of the shoe. Still has some work to do on his technique
I think its fair to say that the AFL have some work to do at helping former players adjusting to life after footy. Iām not sure if the players would ever endorse it but some type of deferred payment plan controlled by the AFLPA seems a reasonable course to ensure players have some level of security. We know of at least some who have been able to claw their way back from excessive lifestyles (Fev & Ox) but I imagine that a lot of lesser known players would find it extremely hard to go from massive contracts to life post footy.
Iām not sure throwing a shoe at someone (which Rhysās sister is saying he didnāt actually do), then happening to have some ā ā ā ā ā ā ā ā knock you off your bike are signs that someoneās life is imploding and theyāre struggling to adjust.
Thinking of the Rhy, his family and friends at this time and best wishes to Rhys in ICU after a terrible motor bike accident.
Can someone change the thread title to show a just little bit of respect?
Sounds like heās going to pull through good signs.
Live yes.
Though given he suffered head/brain trauma until he comes out of the coma it will be unknown whether heās incurred any cognitive changes
Expected to make a full recovery.
Former Rising Star winner has escaped head and spinal damage following his serious motorcycle accident
RHYS Palmer has escaped head and spinal damage and is expected to make a full recovery, despite having lost his spleen and suffered liver damage, after his serious motorbike accident last Saturday night.
Great news
How do you make a full recovery after having your spleen removed?
Heās a shoe-in to make a full recovery.
Canāt believe he ended up at Carlton.
Good luck to him. Lucky man if he pulls through.
Crashing your machine into a moving car is bad luck. Being drafted by Fark FC is a disaster.

Petrie dish?
You can live quite well without your spleen.
Wasnāt it an induced coma rather than one caused by head trauma.
Barry hasnāt got a spleen.
It was, but his sister had posted on FB that he had a brain injury (although in trying to find out where Iād read that I found statements from witnesses that he was fully conscious and aware of his surroundings following the accident so idk who to believe anymore)
