Ron Gauci and Jason Cunningham

These 2 guys running for the Essendon Board? will they get elected? thoughts?

No thanks. Go find someone else to “rescue”

no way!

Fixing the governance of the Storm would have required removing one of two sets of books. Not rocket science!

Don’t mind these guys coming on board…errr, I mean… onto the board, but not if it’s to cause trouble or to destabilise things.

At least I have heard of both of them (and all positive), which is more than I can say for most of the candidates that put their hands up to join the EFC board.

Just heard one of them on SEN.

No thanks, ■■■■ off.

They seem to want to rehash all the governance issues, blah blah.

Governance issues have been delt with, Hird took the fall etc etc. I personally don't want us to roll over and lick everyone's arses again.

Can you elaborate dambuster? We need all the info we can get on anyone who may be putting their hand up for election. Googling them and what they themselves put out there is no more than a CV. We've all written those, and it's amazing just how amazing we are when we leave out all our flaws then believe everything we write.

These morons have no chance.

Dumb and Dumber

Not a chance they will get voted

Ron Gauci is baaaaaaaddd news. Massive cowboy.

I've listened to Jason Cunningham many times. Sounds like a pretty smart and level headed guy.

I reckon he would be quite good, great in financial planning and advice.

Ok Boobs, so your after the dirt then are you?

Well one of them has a cocaine addiction and blows his 500k a year salary on top end escorts (I know what your thinking - that’s a lot of sex right?) and the other was involved in a multi million dollar fraudulent real estate scheme but can’t remember who was who!

Odd they didn’t mention it on their resumes ay?

Just having a yarn as I’m getting restless in the off season and can’t wait for Coondawg & Browne to tear up the midfield next year with Jobe, Hepp, Trav, Zerrett, Gleeson, Fantasia, Dalgleish & McKenna!!!

**** every thread I touch turns to LID OFF

Isn't the club making a small profit this year despite everything that's gone on? We may already have some great financial planning in place.

My two cents worth are that I'm not a massive fan of Paul Little, notwithstanding the fact he took us over at an extremely difficult time. However, I wouldn't want him replaced unless those who are putting their hand up for the role are far and away superior candidates. In this case I don't think they are. Stability in all forms of the club is required to get us through this and moving onwards and upwards.

I heard Ron speak this morning (for the first time) and even though I didn't agree with everything he said, he came across as intelligent, considered and well spoken. He's frustrated like we all are and is afraid we'll end up like Carlton (after their draft sanctions) and could be rubbish for the next 10 years if the right decisions aren't made now.

I was surprised at the good line of questioning by Matt Thomas (I think) and Gaze. Ron was talking about our governance issues still not being resolved and Matt Thomas was pulling him up saying they have gotten rid of person A, B, C & D, what more could the club do.

Other the being the Storm CEO, I don't know much about Ron Gauci.

Stability at the moment is important.

They might be good blokes with good intent for all I know.

But this is not the time to risk putting new blood in when you don't know what they would want to do.

No thanks, not at the moment. Steady as we go, with the shaggers we know.
