We went after Hill when he still had a year to run on his contract knowing full well about point number 1

I get what you are saying⌠but we were still leading at half time in the grand final that year and were probably either a cool Melbourne day or a fit James Hird away from winning it.

Collingwood win flag, following year beats North in massive comeback win. Letâs hope they keep copying the Bombers from 2001 with a GF loss and then 20+ years in the wilderness.

our f50 setup is not conducive to small forwards having space and time to operate, no matter who they are
Donât forget that we were 24 points up at 1/2 time in the 2001 GF.
It was a really hot day which suited Brisb and also they had their IV drips in 1/2 time break so they came out refreshed and ran over the top of us

6.8 to 1.7 since Quarter Time.
I felt we were a goal or two away from putting Brisbane out of it in the second quarter. Unfortunately, they scored a goal right before half time to keep them in it. It was a slow death after that.
