Sure, but how often has that been something we’ve ended up needing to worry about over the past 20 years? If we were pushing for top 4 every year, I could bring myself to care about the ladder this far out from finals, but usually our form falls off a cliff and all these results mean nought anyway.

It’s not just that Pies don’t overtake us on the ladder today (if Gorf win), it’s also the pressure that gets put on the pies - they go into the bye with a loss to Glorious Gorf!
And it means one less team tailgating us.

If north and the giants get up there is 4 points separating all teams from 4th and 12th!!
All these games being dropped by top sides allows all to have a crack at top 4 and has allowed Brisbane back in the frame. Fascinating season.
