I think it’s a shame that Fletch never received the recognition from outside that he deserved and I feel Rance is a bit similar.
Sucks the media give him a wristy at every opportunity but that’s not Rances fault.
I’m watching it.

I mean, you explained the reason in your own post. People just hate getting force-fed praise every time he’s on screen. He’s a very, very good player, and if he only got praise when he did good things it’d be fine. But when a routine spoil against a bloke a foot shorter than him causes Bruce to go into paroxysms of joy, it can get very annoying.
It’s probably also combined in a specific blitz sense that he definitely was a bit of spud early days when Pears was good and he was the player they took before Pears. There was a lot of “lol richmond” going on then, and there’s some of that still floating about I think.

I remember the Pears days well.
Rance was certainly average early but he’s turned it around.
I think he’s slightly ahead of Hurley but they are almost like the ying to the others Yang.
Both key defenders but go about it completely different.
