We’re still scratching around to find some rhythm, and we really struggled for the first 3/4s to break through the skills fog that we have been living in.
Port got a bit lucky playing some Hollywood ball that kept coming off … that is until Q4 when the pressure wouldn’t subside and we started to find a little more rhythm and composure leading to improved execution.
Still a hell of a lot of improvement to be had, but we wouldn’t go away and really stuck it to them.
They looked like they were gassed and lacked imagination and then their hollywood moves just started to come unstuck.
This might be just the medicine we needed to kick us into gear.

It was a much improved performance defensively… but so it should have been.
It’s nice nourishment for the playing list and supporters to get a win, absolutely, is it the start of a glorious winning streak? I highly, highly doubt it judging on that display.
I think if we win 1 game a month this season then we should be satisfied.

Very happy with the win. Good response from last week for sure but Port were garbage in that last quarter and it was a scrappy win. Those thinking we’ll finish mid table should be quietly confident that won’t actually happen if we continue to play like that!
