There’s been a lot of pumping up Melbourne’s tires over the last 6 months. I see no reason why this is the case.
They’ve lost their senior coach with premiership experience, for an untried and relatively inexperienced replacement. They brought in an aging veteran in Lewis, and an honest back pocket in Hibberd. They’ll miss out on finals again this year. I’m not sure why anyone thinks they were going to improve on last year.
