Round 6.5 (don’t ask) Essendon v Tenthmond @ Punt Road Oval, 4pm Saturday 27 May 2017

Richmond controlled about forty minutes, we controlled twenty and lead.

I think I’ll be reducing output in the second half. Following the game while typing is very hard. And it is pretty damn hard to see. Lights are appalling. So need my binoculars which is a juggle while typing.

Highlight of the quarter - Francis leaping on to someone’s shoulders and hanging there, nearly held the mark too.

Howlett and Gleeson playing well, Smack n Draper ok, The Langford silk but needs to get more of it.

Every time I see Boyse he looks a player.

Wind is 45 degrees across the ground, favouring the MCG end. Richmond get that next quarter.

Like the footy club, it thinks quarters only run 29 mins

gold!

We are missing a tall down back. Chol missed 2 Francis missed 2 directly in front. A bit of a ping pong game. There are signs we will break loose but Richmond are competing hard at the ball and clean possession is difficult. Expect the game to open up a bit in the second half but we may have to fight this down to the last minute.

HepA in defence to start the second half.

Come on Bombers, bring it home.

Come on Radio DJR, bring it home!

Long’s pace allows him to neutralise a quick break.

The far wing is so dark.

Yep.

They get free 30m out directly in front. No idea what for.

Holding in the marking contest, to them fifteen out. Obvious.
