He would actually be a good chance. I'd go as far as to say that if he doesn't get a gig this week then... Well maybe it's better off not said ;)
Agreed - good chance. KIcked 5 last week for the ressies, and if Winders is out we've got stuff all small forward goal scoring potential. Deollio presents and leads well, and he will be desperate to make an impression again if he gets picked. If he can bag even just 2 goals and get a 14-15 touches that might see him hold his spot for the time being.

He kicked 5, but had 4 to quarter time. I didn't watch it but I don't really like it when this happens, does anyone know if he was still getting the ball for the last 3 quarters without kicking multiple goals?
Did you follow the game? We kicked 8.2.50 in the first quarter (with a little bit of wind) in a surprise shoot-out before the weather changed massively and the game became a slog. The last three quarters saw us get 8.10. Dell did spend a little time in the midfield after that first quarter.
They say teams have to learn how to win. Its mental. The team must not pencil this in as a win, must know they can win, must fear they will lose ( learn from St Kilda).
Then they have to take the game on for 100% of the 100 minutes and if the get ahead go for the jugular never relax. No more "come from behind in the last quarter " attitude. The "come from behind in the last" modus operandi makes the game exciting and seems all too often a part of Essendons mindset. But what is required is to get a lead, build the lead in every quarter and if necessary grind out 100% of the game to get 4 points, actually that might be boring but there is one strategic objective and thats the last weekend in September.
I think this is what Bomber is saying when he talks about being the same team for 4 quarters. Collingwood proved 42 point leads can be erased in 6-10 minutes . Lets see if the team can play the same for 4 quarters and if they gat a 40 point lead.... no mercy.
