Round 9 2024 Non Essendon Games

Nah, ■■■■ Carlton. They signed him for 2 years.

I agree with ■■■■ Carlton. And ■■■■ 'em again. But anyone has to feel sad about Orazio. His body and the demands of AFL football wouldn’t let him enjoy the razzle-dazzle.

It would be great if Melbourne could beat these entitled, self-satisfied ■■■■■. And man for man, they match up pretty well. But I can’t help feeling that FC might win.

They should be out of the 8 if they lose.

Lovely stuff.

Don’t F*#@ this up Melbourne !

Dees just knocked off the Cats and the Pies did the same to the Blooos. Recent form line says Dees have got this one. l can see the Blooos losing a lot of confidence for future matches if they drop this game. Go Dees!

Nothing more certain than Melbourne ■■■■■■■ this up. Will never forgive them for that semi final

I’ve got a weird feeling Port are going to knock off Geelong.

I know, I know… but can’t shake it.

They’ll get a reality check imo, biggest pretenders going around

Go Dees… i really want them to win this one.
My hope is:
Melb d fcfc
Geel d pa
Freo d syd
Haw d stk (dont really care… hate them both but this outcome would be funnier)
Ess d gws… of course. But not expecting it.
Nm d gc… dont really care.
Rich v dogs… hope its a draw.
Wc d filth… do they ever travel?
Adel d bris… bris is my most hated non Victorian team.
That about covers it!
GO BOMBERS!!

Out of last 4 Melbourne/Carlton games, 3 have been incredibly close, with the other being under 3 goals when the Blues were playing with zero confidence.

Going to be a tight game unfortunately.

You’ve got this one wrong IMO.

SYD are a class above, so it’s best if they keep winning.
Freo are likely in that 5-8th range where we are realistically wanting to be if this current version of us is sustainable.

We need to finish above them.

Not really, no. Earns more money than most people ever will, has played at the top level for 10 years and played over a 100 games. Sure injury sucks but I don’t feel sad about him at all.

Well he would be right down at the lower end of the range for a 10-year player, and because he’s had injury problems right from the very beginning he would never have been a really big earner. And 10 years is maybe a quarter of a person’s working life.

Then you have to remember that those injuries will have done some pretty terrible things to his body which will have long-term effects. His body will be old before its time.

But most of all there’s the disappointment of someone who had all the abilities needed to be a true champion, and the frustration at never having been able to produce them on a consistent basis.

If you don’t feel just a bit sorry, you don’t have a heart.

Melbourne have a tendency to do an Essington.

Hopefully the Melbourne that beat Geelong comes to play

This is my fear. Melbourne should beat Carlton tonight but I worry they won’t because they will underestimate the scum.

Yes, true… but its a long way to go b4 i start worrying about ladder positon rivals. I would rather we kept winning and got there on our own merit. Its just a list of who i dislike more!
I am more concerned about our tight winning margins… would like the team to start building a better %.

They have entered a tough run. We will have a similar run in a few weeks. I think we play Geelong, Collingwood and then Melbourne.

Lol, oh my sweet bleeding heart. If I don’t feel sorry for a 106 game AFL player I don’t have heart?

Clubs provide free education and training with support programs for life outside of football. He’s been earning far more than the vast majority of Australians for over a decade and lived a pretty easy and blessed life so far. I think he’s doing just fine :joy:

Fark Orazio and Fark Carlton.

Btw I reckon Carlton are going to have a big win tonight, sadly.
