Australia has procured NASAMS air defence batteries and test fired it for the first time. These are the same batteries being donated to Ukraine. An indication of how the learnings from that conflict are flowing through to militaries worldwide.

An Australian Army veteran has been killed by a recent Russian artillery airstrike in Ukraine’s southwest Avdiivka region.
Matthew ‘Jeppo’ Jepson was serving in an elite foreign mercenary group known as “The Chosen Company”, as part of the Ukrainian Armed Forces (UAF) 59th motorised brigade.
The Townsville man is the most recent Australian death since Victorian Sage O’Donnel, who died just before Christmas last year.
Former U.S. Army soldier Joel David Beal is believed to have also died in the same attack.
