Russia invades Ukraine - 6 - from 7 August 2024

I am no war fighter, but my opinion is that if Putin is appeased, he will just become emboldened.

Any land settlement agreements or treaties will be temporary. He has runs on the board for this.

‘Peace in our time’ will be an illusion.

If King Don or his Court Jester Elon fall for this, they are fools.

I agree, appeasement is seen correctly as a sign of weakness, stop enabling this prick.

I think you can classify that as fact not opinion.

It is factual that under current Russian leadership there are no borders on lands that were part of the USSR that will be respected.

It is factual that under current Russian leadership military capability will be amassed in peacetime for further territorial gains

Nothing more effective than letting the public and adversaries threshold F35 capability off media reports. It’s all just biased opinion and speculative tripe.

Same goes for the SU57. Russia doesn’t take years to field a platform if it’s needed.

My career has been spent in military platform development. Confirming the media has no idea…

IMO, this appears to be a desperation move.
I doubt it will stop the collapse of the currency.
Watch out for run on the banks next.

The head of the Duma Committee for Control Oleg Morozov at the “government hour” announced insufficient staffing of the enterprises of the defense complex.

According to the deputy, “in recent decades” in the sphere of the military-industrial complex there has been a “excess of humanitarians” with a simultaneous shortage of specialists in engineering specialties.

“The shortage of specialists here will be about 400 thousand people in the near future,” Morozov said.

Earlier, during the same “government hour”, the Minister of Education Sergei Kravtsov announced the possibility of switching to free training in colleges in working specialties.

In the Soviet days, people didn’t have a choice as to their undergraduate courses. The Arts Schools mostly took the leftovers ( apart from performance arts).

‘400,000 person shortage in the military industrial complex’ and ‘excess of humanitarians’ sure sounds like the words of a nation that isn’t preparing for further warfare
