If this is at all accurate my guess is it means the RU front line forces are given minimal rest time before they are called into action with another meat grind assault. Troops will be more than just tired, they will be near exhausted and that makes them more likely to get wounded/killed. Yet another factor of why they have such high casualty rates.

The Russian system is to keep troops at the front until they are “used up”.
None of this back to the rear for replenishment and rest.

Neutrality was the key to this conflict.

From what I’ve delved into, the NATO presence, that was enabled by the 2014 coup, was a massive trigger for increased Russian mobility. A good comparison would be the idea of Russia bringing nuclear level arsenal to the border of the US, backed by a puppet regime in Mexico that was empowered by the demise of a former democratically elected party.

The Yanukovich government was neutral but this didn’t satisfy the strategic global policy of the US. I mean, McCain was openly in cahoots with the far right nazi svoboda party in driving regime change and everything points to the instalment of a puppet regime that would thus enhance US strategic positions in the region.

Of course, I don’t support a Russian insurgence or war in any form. But let’s not dismiss the way in which the US and NATO have inflamed this situation with their steering and influencing of pawns in this game of chess.

What started as a peaceful protest, which was supported nationwide, that ended when the Ukrainian President that ordered protesters killed fled the country was a coup? Where have I heard this terminology before?

Nuland must have been handing out a hell of a lot of cookies

It’s incredibly naive to dismiss the meddling of the US in driving the Ukrainian unrest. I m not about to claim that I know the machinations of such politicking but what I do know is that the US have been deep into the need to control the boundaries of Russia and that McCain and Nuland were up to no good around that time. Perhaps my use of the word ‘coup’ is too assumptive but based on the geopolitical history of the US it would not be beyond them to drive the upheaval for their own ends. Again, the Russians are massively culpable, but they have also been massively provoked. NATO is seen as a threat and they will not easily accept their proximity in the Ukraine where there are still deep-seated Russian allegiances.

Russian invaded Ukraine before Maidan, would you not logically think the people of said country might want to kick the fark out a government acting as a puppet to an invader that took some of their land or is tht plain fact too simple and it must ONLY be the big bad us

NATO’s purpose is defensive only. Not only are you removing Ukraine’s agency in actually wanting to join, you’re also essentially blaming foreign nations for looking for ways to bolster their national security and defend their sovereignty from an imperialistic neighbour who has a demonstrated, repeated history of invading other countries for their own purposes.

Being a part of a collective, defensive alliance is attractive to some countries
