Russia invades Ukraine - 6 - from 7 August 2024

Hmm, seeing as the crisis stems from Russia invading Ukraine. My binding agreement and mechanism would be that NATO moves from a purely ‘Defence Pact’ to a ‘Defence/Attack Pact’, and that any incursion into another sovereign nation (the crisis) by Russia will see NATO retaliatory invading and wiping Russia from the face of the earth.

That should stop these Russian invasion/incursion crisis from reoccurring.

I would probably settle for a total regime change. The problem then is where to draw the line in terms of where the regime ends. (I suppose wanting Putin’ head on a pike is a little to much to ask for.)

A modest request in my eyes @Captain_Jack.

I agree, it is a modest request. I don’t believe in punishing the entire population for the actions of a few.

The question will be asked, where should that piked head be displayed?

Kyiv?
The Hague?
Washington?
The Tower of London?
The Eiffel Tower?
Peking Opera?
Brazilian Mardi Gras?
Myers window at Christmas?
All of the above?

The should run a raffle in both Ukraine and Russia. They could pay of both national debts.

While I don’t think the “entire” population is at fault, I wouldn’t agree that (as a whole) they’re not culpable. I think any nation’s population is ultimately responsible for the Government they allow and the actions of that Government.
As we are for our own nation’s many missteps.
Time to correct and proportional punishment is the tough part…

That said, Putler should obviously be impaled or blood eagled.

I dunno the succession plans in Moscow, but the vacuum caused at the demise of Putin could just see some other warmongering, murdering, megalomaniac step up into the role… Situation Russian intimidatory normal.

Are there any moderates in consideration within the Kremlin?

The reason I ask if there are any moderates is that they don’t appear to live long in Russia.

Excerpt from the below article.

The list includes everyone from high-ranking government officials, captains of Russian industry and military chiefs to anti-war protesters and Kremlin critics"…

It looks decidedly unhealthy being a moderate in Russia.

I’m sure it was just an accident that came about due to his overwhelming enthusiasm to get down to the nearest Red Army recruitment office to sign up for the SMO.

Ya know, before too long, Ukraine might have an airforce.

Now, that’s gunna fly in the face of Putin’s supposed air superiority.

If Russians had followed the sage advice of this Ukrainian woman from back in February 2022, there would be sunflowers growing everywhere in the ‘temporarily occupied territories’.
