Now, about the elephant in the room, the status of the Black Sea.
It was addressed in part in the statement of the G7 Foreign Ministers on international Maritime Security. The (now defunct) Ukraine grain deal was mentioned as an example, with suggestions that the UN Convention of Law of the Sea UNCLOS) should apply to the Black Sea, to demilitarise it .
