Look over there, those citizens from NATO countries and its allies, fighting alongside Ukrainians, getting killed or captured by the Russians.

I don’t remember neo-liberal capitalist investers knowing of, and warning of DisPutin’s invasion. They’re all so very prescient, just look at how smoothly they’re currently dealing with the stock market.

It comes down to whether the respective foreign governments have arranged for their engagement.
It’s apparent that the Hermit Kingdom sent its troops for some sort of payment.

“Public funding, the entry of private companies, and, above all, international support have boosted the sector. According to government data, the defense industry’s capacity has multiplied 35-fold in three years and will reach $35 billion by 2025.”

So you are asserting that questions over captured Chinese soldiers is some sort of whataboutism in answer to russian treatment of, and attitude towards, foreigners serving in Ukraine’s Foreign legion?

That is a very strange take.

Chalk and cheese on a fundamental level.

If you disagree, show me any proof you may have that it is possible or plausible for private Chinese citizens (esp. those with military experience) to have the freedom to leave the country without the government’s knowledge/consent/assistance to join a foreign military.

So why the seemingly anti-Ukraine (pro-russian) comment? Are you asserting that private individuals joined Ukraine’s army at the behest of their respective governments? It doesn’t make any sense…

There’s probably not many reading or posting in here. We’re all probably busy watching the American Politics thread. That Resident Orang-utan, what a guy.

I reckon Zelensky is pushing $hit uphill with this. There’s mercenaries fighting for both sides in this war.

If true, it’s a largish number. Is it state sanctioned though?
