2/ Most conceivable military scenarios in the Pacific involving Australia and its allies could benefit from insights from Ukraine. However, at the same time, these lessons must be contextualised given the distinct political, geographic and strategic characteristics of the

3/ The paper commences with an examination of what are the ten most important (but not the only) insights from the Ukraine War. These are:

  1. Mass and national mobilisation. 2. Cognitive warfare and inter-societal conflict. 3. People. 4. Meshed commercial-military sensor networks. 5. Ubiquitous uncrewed systems. 6. Cheaper, accessible precision long-range strike. 7. Allies and security partners. 8. Rapid and expanding adaptation war. 9. Surprise. 10. Leadership.

4/ The report then explores the significant differences between Eastern Europe and the Pacific theatre. It proposes that given the differences in culture, geography, politics, infrastructure and weather between eastern Europe and the Pacific, a method for translating these lessons is needed to ensure that observations from Ukraine are optimised for application elsewhere.

5/ Ultimately, the differences between eastern Europe and the Pacific come down to several areas: politics, geographic & environmental differences, & differences in the capabilities of the likely military forces involved. Therefore, my report proposes four ‘Pacific filters’ that

Lavrov’s rude tone and his attempt to walk back promises made by “Putin” to Trump derailed plans for their Budapest meeting. Now he’s blamed across the Politburo for the collapse.

Long dreaming of retirement, Lavrov may get his wish — but not the way he hoped. His fall from grace looks more like the prelude to a purge. After the upcoming “transition,” scapegoats will be in high demand — and Lavrov tops the list.

“Putin” Lol

SADM. Now, If they’d call it Small Ordinance Drone Missile it’d be appropriately termed SODM.

Well-oil be farked, again.

Built-in obsolescence?

Hopefully, a precedent for many, many more.

How does Russia respond to being accused of war crimes? As you’d expect.

An accident?

Fire at Belarusian oil refinery Naftan has been put out

“MOSCOW, Nov 6 (Reuters) - A fire at the Naftan oil refinery in Belarus, one of the country’s two biggest, has been put out and nobody was hurt, the country’s emergency emergencies ministry said on Thursday.

The state Belta news agency said earlier that the fire had been caused by an incident involving diesel fuel at a technological unit.”…

East meets West… Does it?

Why Germany Is Still Divided When It Comes to Russia

“Many East Germans are more sympathetic toward Moscow than their western compatriots, reflecting decades of Soviet ties and disillusionment since reunification.”…

I dunno, Ukraine has been at war for 11 years and an EU General reckons they need military training.

LOL. Russia and farken bull$hit is now synonymous.

Peskov accused Ukraine and EU of “pausing” peaceful settlement of war - Russian media

“Russian Presidential Press Secretary Dmitry Peskov stated that the pause in the settlement of the war was caused by Ukraine’s unwillingness to pursue a political and diplomatic path and “provocations on the part of Europeans.”“…

Speaking of synonymous with bull$hit… Here’s Resident Orang-utan’s lips moving again.

The Ukranian Special Forces are refining their skills.

A counter offer.

Thumbing your nose at DisPutin.

…”WASHINGTON DC – The Trump administration on Thursday cast critical minerals as the centerpiece of a sweeping new American push into Central Asia, unveiling more than $5 billion in trade and investment deals as the White House hosted the leaders of five post-Soviet republics.

In a rare display of regional diplomacy, President Donald Trump welcomed his counterparts from Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan – the so-called “C5” nations – for a summit and dinner aimed at locking in new partnerships across energy, aviation, agriculture and, above all, the minerals that power everything from smartphones to fighter aircraft.”…

It’s not the flue, just a Russian cold.

Tactically, not much, but still useful. But organizationally and doctrinal incorporation of lessons learned is still a shot in the dark.

The training programs currently in progress in the Baltic, Poland, Germany, France and Britain are learning just as much from the UA participants and it’s continually revised/updated with the newest information. The in-country training is still very fragmented and not standardized . They will need a period of institutional rebuilding before their training system is up to NATO equivalency.
What having trainers also does is maintaining a more palatable presence for western forces as ‘non-combat’ but still providing some deterrence in a diplomatic/ strategic sense

I call this a good result. Elements of the Kremlin turning on each other. Good riddance to Lavrov and all hard-liners. Putin grows more desperate and in typical RU fashion looks for someone to blame. Lavrov should be permanently retired either at the next tea party or via the nearest window.
