The Ukrainian city of Pokrovsk faces a threat. Russian forces increase pressure and complicate the supply of Ukrainian soldiers
“The city of Pokrovsk in eastern Ukraine is under pressure from Russian forces who allegedly control supply routes. Despite this, Ukrainian troops remain in the fight and replenish ammunition.
The Ukrainian military command on Monday admitted problems with the supply of the city of Pokrovsk and neighboring Myrnohrad, where Ukrainian troops are trying to repel advancing Russian forces. TASR informs about it according to the report of the DPA agency.
General Staff spokesman Andriy Kovaľov did not say exactly what the aforementioned supply problems mean, but he denied claims that Russian troops have full fire control over Ukrainian supply routes. New ammunition was delivered to the units in Myrnohrad on Sunday and the wounded were evacuated, he specified. According to him, Ukrainian troops continue to fight against Russian forces in Pokrovsk.”…

“Military medics say Russian drone strikes make evacuation almost impossible – creating conditions that cause infections to surge.
Ukrainian medics are reporting cases of gas gangrene, a condition once closely associated with the trenches of the First World War and long thought to have been all but eradicated in Europe.
The bacterial infection, which destroys muscle tissue at a deadly pace, has made a resurgence in Ukraine due to the harsh realities of modern trench warfare.
Military medics told The Telegraph that drone warfare has made evacuating wounded soldiers almost impossible – conditions that are causing infections once consigned to the history books to spread with alarming speed.”…

The amendment, approved by the government commission on legislative activity, will apply to foreigners and stateless persons who are serving or have served in the Russian army&other military units under contract, as well as those who have participated in combat operations as part of these formations.
The authorities are also considering a draft law that provides that no decision on deportation, readmission, or expulsion, when provided for by law, will be made in relation to such persons. Russian lawyers say the aim of the amendments is to keep foreign military personnel in Russia.
