Brazil Reports Germany’s Offer to Sell Leopard 2A6 and Marder Vehicles Allegedly Declined by Ukraine
“Germany has offered to ship Leopard 2A6 main battle tanks and Marder 1A5 infantry fighting vehicles to Brazil, after Ukraine reportedly declined to accept the equipment due to its technical condition.
According to the publication Tecnodefesa, the German government officially proposed transferring about 65 Leopard 2A6 tanks and 78 Marder 1A5 vehicles from Bundeswehr stockpiles.
This offer is part of Brazil’s initiative to modernize its armored forces under the “Nova Família de Blindados sobre Lagartas” program, which aims to develop a new family of tracked combat vehicles for the country’s army.”…

The amendment, approved by the government commission on legislative activity,will apply to foreigners and stateless persons who are serving or have served in the Russian army&other military units under contract, as well as those who have participated in combat operations as part of these formations.
The authorities are also considering a draft law that provides that no decision on deportation, readmission, or expulsion, when provided for by law, will be made in relation to such persons. Russian lawyers say the aim of the amendments is to keep foreign military personnel in Russia.
