These “envoys” of Trump need to go home, back to counting their silver dollars which is all they’re useful for .. not trying to broker peace deals with Putin whilst he turns the handles of his meat grinder.
Stating the bleeding obvious. But Europe needs to either ramp up the arms and support to Ukraine and direct military involvement or get properly engaged in peace talks somehow.
The unspoken bit in that is that Rubio is talking about the section not yet captured by Russia. So they’ve ( the US) already agreed that Russia can keep the sections of Ukraine that they’ve already annexed.
This is a complete sellout of Ukraine. For purely monetary and territorial tradeoffs elsewhere. The Trump USA wants to plunder resources all over the planet - mainly Greenland and above the Arctic circle , but also Venezuelan oil etc - and you can guarantee that part of all this is that they’ll give Putin Donetsk and he in turn won’t kick up a fuss when the US look to pillage Greenland.
If you don’t think that the US is as avaricious and territorially ambitious as Putin in the hunt for wealth and power, you aren’t watching. The “strong” get what they want, the lesser nations - whether friends or foes is irrelevant - get bullied and blamed.

But of those, Luxembourg, Cayman Islands, Switzerland and probbaly Ireland are all homes for tax dodgers so they are not likely to sell out. So the “trilliions” have now been reduced to whatever the govts of France and Belgium may hold and would be brave enough to withstand an attack by USA on them.
Edit: and after your subsequent post, we can now take take Belgium out of consieration.
