Russia loses a helicopter to a UAV.

The large fireball which was seen in the sky over Russia’s Rostov region has turned out to be a downed Russian military helicopter.

A source associated with Russian military helicopter aviation wrote:
“The sky takes the best… Eternal flight. In the fifth year, friendly fire hasn’t gone anywhere.”

While sabotage is the most likely cause, l wouldn’t rule out RU incompetence. No doubt UA will be blamed even if they weren’t involved

US military uses SpaceX Starshield, whilst others such as Ukraine would use Starlink.

Starshield has additional network comms protections that are not available to others.

9,800 operational Starlinks compared to low hundreds of Starshield at this point in time but both will grow quickly.

It won’t take that many destroyed Starlinks in their different height shells to make their constellation and other low earth sats vulnerable.

Debris will take others out and it could easily cascade. Kessler syndrome.

Could possibly need to wait for a few years for the debris to re-enter to be able to launch sats again safely.
