I’m not sure what the so called “Coalition of the Willing” have in plan. It seems only words and arms length funding and resolve to date .. and its tbh useless.
Because its rapidly appearing that a significant intervention by them and in the end NATO may be nigh, to short circuit this war. Sounds ludicrous and red light dangerous to even contemplate but it might become necessary. Airport disruptions across western Europe courtesy of Russian drones, cyber attacks ad infinitum and shipping confrontations are now regular incidents. Daily.
RU are itching it seems for both Putin’s political and personal aims to involve NATO, even when trying to take most of UKr. And whilst he retains Russia’s significant nuclear arsenal, there’s the real threat of it igniting into a pan European war. And he’ll use them if pushed, he’s mad enough to do so imho.
A hero or heroes to eliminate these challenges dare I say must be out there, lurking and on alert. Just waiting for the group green light and a manufactured opening to do so.

Ukraine’s General Staff confirms the air defense hunt: an S-400 position near Gelendzhik, a Pantsir in Yeysk and a Tor in Rostov Oblast were hit. Kasta and Podlyot radars were also struck in Rostov Oblast, plus a Russian logistics depot in occupied Crimea.
@elfm were you in the Princess Patricias? Pretty glorious history outlasting 3RAR at Kapyong.
No, RCE (Royal Canadian Engineer).
But yes, that was quite a battle the UN forces endured. The terrain was not Ideal, especially for the diggers - too dispersed, no mutual support between the companies and the Chinese had an easier time infiltrating. The PPCLI also had shifty terrain with no mutual support, but the steepness of the hill made it more difficult for the Chinese. The brilliant move (arguably, obvious, so maybe not so brilliant but decisive) was to relocate B Coy to cover the right side of the bn and the road - and somehow stop the Chinese from encircling them or pursue the RAR into the rear of the brigade.

I served in 3RAR and the joke was always that the battle was harder than it needed to be because the stock of beer that had been brought in to celebrate ANZAC Day mysteriously went missing the night of the battle.
