You can send all the humanitarian aid you want but if russia keeps targeting hospitals and other civilian infrastructure then in the end it is a futile exercise. The pace of infrastructure repair and new construction will never keep pace with the daily destruction and damage occurring. So, in effect, a billion dollars is blown with nothing to show for it and no real “aid” to Ukraine delivered.
Humanitarian aid has its place but the war must finish first. That is why military aid to Ukraine is, was and will be crucial into the future. Until Ukraine wins this war or russia implodes and/or retreats.

2/an ammunition depot was also hit. A day before the strike these aircraft were not on the parking stands — they arrived shortly before the attack and were in active use. Russia has not confirmed the aircraft losses.
