We are the same as last year. In fact gone backwards. Has a nearly full list. Either players are not following the coaching instructions or are unable to execute basic skills needed for a afl game

We haven’t improved. Worse, we have no real future. Pointless FC, fare the well.
Like many blitz is more than this dumb club and its spineless week players, long suffereing Essendon fans have shown so much more than any dog that has been on the field or part of running this joint.

Clearly, the players and the coach are not on the same page, not even in the same postcode, and there is nobody here left in this situation who appears to have any motivation left to succeed.
Wholesale change has to come and come swiftly, or I’m no longer interested anymore. This is a dead end.

Same problem that’s been around for years
We have a group of players (Bar Merrett) that are just comfortable being AFL players and nothing more. No drive, no desire to succeed

Honestly, I reached a point of apathy some time ago. Once upon a time, the capitulation we’re seeing would have stung badly - not so much anymore.

from here it’s hard to see how he doesn’t get sacked at the end of next year now. like that’s not me advocating for it, it’s just looking at the patterns of it all.
as you say the last 2 years will count against him, and to improve you have to replace at least 6-8 of the players of his starting 22, and he won’t do it with youngsters, and if by miracle he does, he’s not getting many wins next year.
he’s pretty much cooked as the coach now, because it’s a long way back just to try and salvage he’s building for the future, even next year.

No. It’s on the coach. The main job of the coach is to get the players’ mindset right. Scott has no idea about that.

No. I’ve taken a break for a couple of weeks because of the extreme level of vitriol I personally cop from a select group of posters on here when I have attempted to put a more positive spin on the situation.
Yes, they were right in their assessments, but the keyboard warrior types who seem to delight in targeting me after every loss gets a bit much.
Just some breaking news - I have no direct impact on the onfield results.
