Reid would be alright but not in that deal, also not sure Sydney will want the picks if it means they have to pay higher for their academy players

I'm not against some of these names that keep popping up.
I just don't see why we are including them in the Ryder deal, when third round draft picks and / or fringe players would get some of these suggested trades done.
Pazza would have us Fitzroy'd in no time with his trading and drafting ideas.
Sydney would love that - 2 first round picks for a fringe player and someone who has largely done nothing since signing that 6 year deal 3 seasons ago - he barely averages a goal a game in that time despite pretty much playing forward every week.

In my opinion, Sam Reid is a hugely talented forward with so much potential that won't be fulfilled in a forward line dominated by elite goal kickers. I could see him fitting in really well at Essendon, however him and Membrey may be overkill as they play in the same position. Would definitely rather Membrey, but I honestly think signing Reid would be great for the club too.
