Good science encourages peer review which can be very critical. Testing of hypotheses is the crux of scientific progress and though some scientists can be arrogant and reject any other view, they rarely survive in this World.

I remember a friend at University that wrote his version of a typical Uni scientific experiment:

  • Scientifically design an experiment
  • Scientifically perform the experiment
  • Scientifically record the results
  • Scientifically rig the results
  • Scientifically write the conclusion

The scientific method is messy, imperfect and flawed. But it also produced modern medicine, Starlink, the internet, mobile phones, passenger planes, record global food production and medical care that has resulted in more humans surviving than ever before, along with football themed online forums.

I’d say the track record has on the whole been pretty good.
