Murphy (and all associated with the high performance team) should have been rissoled after the disgraceful way the players had been prepared for that pathetic round 1 game against Geelong. Two years ago was it? Three? I forget now… all Essendon’s seasons dissolve into a soup of shitness these days. Martin’s first game anyway.
They were gassed by quarter time. Absolutely unacceptable, and we were playing fitness catch-up all year.

Let me guess, we’re gonna say this is a wide and far open process, we’ll pretend to interview a few people, but we’ll actually be begging some mediocre lame loser from some peasant club to come over repeatedly with multiple calls until they eventually give in from the pressure of being hassled by such a pathetic club that we are.

Yeap, the signs have been there for a long time. In fact, I recall Matthew Lloyd saying in his last couple of years training was like a hotel with people coming and going as they pleased. I would very much like to hear in a couple of years that Essendon has the hardest working playing list (won’t bet my life on it though). Come on EFC - you can do better!

Murphy may not be at fault for everything, but he’s been there for 6 utterly miserable years where we’ve barely been able to get our best side on the park.
He’s the head of department, he had no answers and has never had any in his time.

Russell is very good. He took the Blues to a preliminary final and they were flying over teams. He and the blues had a difference of opinion on S&C so he was exited. The Hawks players like Crawford and Hodge say he is brilliant. I’d take him
