Wasn’t Carlisle being mentored by Carey when we were trying to turn him into a forward?
Don’t agree with the sledging regarding the missus but also think his giving a mouthful to an injured player on the ground isn’t the right reaction either. Pretty poor form from the captain of a club who is totally confidant what is being said to him is untrue.

Still not sure what was being said, but both Murphy & Carey have said that whatever it was, it did not involve Carey, & his name wasn’t mentioned.
Apparently, this particular Carey rumour has been out there for a year and a half, and him & Murphy have been in constant communication about it, discussing what to do about it, both knowing full well it was bullshit, & decided to just let it die a natural social media rumour death.
Then the sledging in the game, although not mentioning Carey, gave the trolls the vehicle to re ignite it.
And I have to disagree with those here that said it’s all fair game. You don’t belittle or abuse a blokes family, Wife or Girlfriend, it’s not on.
As some others have said, there’s plenty to sledge Murphy about anyway, without lowering to that garbage.
