Season 2018 - Hawthorn

Son of a gun, though. They had to pick him. Would be like Essendon passing on D Fletcher’s kid. Couldn’t possibly happen.

He had more than a few moments. Goes to show that you can’t predict how a player’s career will evolve.

He was an excellent tagger and had a great 2014 GF. Didn’t really have many other tricks but there have been worse players to win premiership

2014 was a sh*t GF. Over after 10 minutes.

The problem they have is when every players sees the decline start to unfold they won’t go there and Hawks will either have to eat up the cap paying stupid money or not get them and take back end of draft kids.

You can’t beat the draft and cap, eventually it hurts you. The hawks have been blessed by the new teams entering, FA and multiple year draft pick trading. But now that the system has stabilised for another year or so they will run out of mechanisms and the fall will have to happen.

Unfortunately, players are attracted to playing for Clarko. While that’s still the case they will continue to attract players via trade and fa.

Lovell delisted. So both 2015 first rounders gone.

Agee, but the Clarko factor has it limits, they are one major injury to Mitchell or Omeara away from being in trouble.

And replaced with a 2017 top 10 pick.
They aren’t getting in over the hill players.

It’s for financial purposes.
It means the remainder of his contract doesn’t go into last year’s salary cap.

Outside Donald Trump, is there a bigger egomaniac? Don’t know where to start. How often does Clarko have the umpires over for bbq? That’s a start I guess.

HAWKS ‘ARE NOT RESPECTED BY THE AFL’

JEFF KENNETT Hawthorn president Jeff Kennett believes the AFL is “trying to push” the Hawks out of Tasmania so it clears the path for the Kangaroos to play seven home games in the state. He says the league doesn’t respect his club.

Dawks now crying into their milk over the fact that we have drafted Mosquito. Oh well stiff bikkies, or in this case soggy ones.

Are they? What prevented them from matching Essendon’s bid?

If they thought they could let Mosquito slide a bit and didn’t have enough points in the bank to match Essendon’s bid then they must now suffer in their jocks but if they could have selected him but declined, then you have to wonder what they know about Mosquito that Essendon doesn’t

His height?

Mosquito seems like the type of player any club would want and need but why not Hawthorn? They don’t have an excess of players with his skill set.

maybe theyre just really nice guys and let us have a really good player! :upside_down_face:
