It’s overs, especially with such an easy trigger for a 3rd year. I’m a bit annoyed we didn’t go in for him. In terms of a pressure player in the middle, elite tackler, big body (191cm), good overhead and can score goals, he fit nicely into our midfield. Definite upgrade on Clarke. Clearly North are in a rebuild but you need players of good character and leadership to bring the young guys through. It can’t just be a crèche. Good get IMO.

We’re already trying to figure out how to fit Parish, Caldwell, McGrath, Shiel, Merrett etc. into the same team; noting that Stringer and Langford will also get midfield minutes, plus Perkins at some stage.
They’re all better footballers (and younger) than Greenwood.
He’ll play a role at North, and likely do it well, but we don’t need him.

He’s a long way ahead of Caldwell at the moment.
I’m happy passing on him, but he’d be in our best side at the moment.

He would hinder caldwell / Perkins development.
And add undue pressure to the salary cap plus list spots tight.
Choices wre go to flag contender or biggest $$$.

What happened?
To commemorate this achievement, North Melbourne have have celebrated with a function for past and present players and officials.
Then the club got the bill for the function… North Melbourne are now back in debt.
