Surely they’re done!???

Please.

Not sure if serious. They’ve been finished for a while.

Bit of a shame actually that we don’t get a crack at them on the SCG this year.
That fortress is now a crumbling pile of bin chicken poo

Agree. The Cats broke them. Longmire is looking a bit tired these days. Is his message still getting through or have they just run out of match winners from their academy production line? Their whole mystique is crumbling, and the SCG has stopped being a home ground fortress of advantage.

if you ask my mate he thought that Saints got approx 7 goals from the umps compared to sydney’s 2 cost them the win.

Swans surely miss finals from here that’s good news.

As good a coach as Longmire is he still has his flaws (and so do their list management).
Sam Reid has been ‘cooked’ for close to 5 years. Yet he still got games there ahead of Logan McDonald and Hayden McLean.
Their rucks have been borderline average for more than a decade. Seriously, not one ruck that you’d even consider to be top ten in the league in that period.
How Ryan Clarke is on a list and still got games is baffling.
Will Gould has been their ‘answer’ since drafted in 2019. Four years on and he still doesn’t look anywhere near it. Aaron Francis is getting games ahead of him in a completely depleted backline. Think of that for a second.
Robbie Fox has been somewhat of a revelation for them the last year. How an underperforming 30 year old who reaches 60-odd games stays on a list that long is baffling as well.

It’s great that Angus Sheldrick is finally getting games. He smashed VFL last year and continued doing so this year. He’s been sub more often than not and barely gotten an opportunity. Then an injury occurs, he takes his chance and now he looks like a staple in the Sydney midfield. Go figure.
Matthew Roberts is next to get his opportunity when an injury arises.

The Sydney system is a great one. Look at their players individually and they are bog average. Yet as a group they perform better than the individual parts. Even with the diabolical injuries they’ve had this year, they’ve been ‘semi-decent’. They certainly haven’t plunged into the depths of darkness from their first 6 weeks of footy.

I think they’ll bounce up and down the ladder for the next few years as their players develop at the same time as their older guys (Buddy, Rampe and Parker) retire.

This shitstain of a club has won 5 premierships and lost 13 Grand Finals. That knowledge is truly satisfying. They are worse in Grand Finals than Collingwood who have 15 wins (please don’t be 16) and 27 losses (hopefully 28).

Is it also satisfying that they’ve won two of those premierships since we last won any sort of final?

Rampe rubbed out for 2 weeks for an off-the-ball hit on McNeil (or one of those Bulldog midrange players)

Misses our game.

Wright on Francis please

2 weeks for that? AFL shifting the goal posts once again.

Just so Rampe can climb again?

You can barely tell what happened with the grainy footage. Wouldn’t surprise if he gets off if he challenges it.

Up Rampe’s arse.

Bloke tries to get away with as much as he can every single week. He pushes, scrags, holds all day, climbs goal posts, carries on and gets away with it.

He deserves two weeks.

If you bump a bloke in play and get them in the head you get a week. It happened to Phillips. If they get concussed you might get more weeks.

If you tackle someone with the ball and their head hits the ground and they get concussed you get suspended.

Rampe bumped a bloke miles off the ball, got him in the head and concussed him. Two weeks.
