He’s a always been a lazy, selfish log. The only thing is that he used to be our lazy, selfish log, and that forgave him his myriad sins in the eyes of many of our supporters.
He’s always been capable of being brilliant, but equally capable of being useless - flying unrealistically for marks, burning team-mates, spraying his kicks like a horny tomcat, giving minimum (or no) effort.
Life’s cruel. His uncle had all the talent in the world, but struggled to 80 games. This lazy lummox will coast his way to over 200. On the other hand though, another uncle (a battler who had nowhere near the talent of Joe, but made the absolute most of what he had) has a premiership medal…

Joe absolutely malingered in his last year at EFC. I take great joy when my brother in law offers to send him back to us. The reply is a confident no thanks, and that’s before we started looking decent again
