The problem for him is that his contract ends some time before the draft. He will most likely not get a big payout like Brayshaw as he doesn’t have years left on a contract. Somehow he should be looked after as if he had a contract. Don’t know by who though. Probably AFL.

I’d argue that Fagan has made a larger accomplishment as coach than Lethal did, considering the state of the club when they respectively took over

Interestingly, Brisbane finished last in 1998, and last in 2017. Seems they are pretty good at going from terrible to terrific in quick time.

it’s great he got another flag. Did an awesome job on dangerfield, but danger didn’t do a lot after he went off either.

Remember when there were people at the club putting together a legitimate list of coaching candidates to replace Hird, then Little Paul jumped on a plane with his merry men and gifted the job to Worstfold? Fagan was on that list.

I understand why they went for Worsfold but in hindsight they should have parted way at the end of 2018.
Probably 2017 tbh once the suspended players had been successfully integrated which he did.

Fagan wouldn’t have lasted fans would be calling for him to be sacked with in 3 years. Unless a coach can come in and make us into a finals/contending team in two seasons they are doomed coaching us.
