Pies will just keep bringing in experienced players that are free agents.
Even this year - they could have had Silvagni,as a free agent or guys who can play roles, they have the stars - Daicos already. Plus have young talent via father son and academy on the way.
Also can continue to take their pick of the experienced guys like Robbie Fox, Conor McKenna,Laverde, Parish, Fantasia, Billings, all at minimal cost. Then clubs like Essendon would probably pay Greshams wage if they took him.
they also could grab a former high pick thats been underwhelming at curent side - Tsatas, hobbs, Erasmus, phillips, Duursma and continue their development.
pies picking up Membrey who many had discarded on the scrap heap and turning him back into a decent role player is testatement to this.
its much easier to stay a good side, rather than become one.

I thought a lot of umpiring decisions went against them. I’ve been an Essendon fan all my life. I’d give anything to be in their position. Makes me realise how f@#ked our club is.
