I told Heff11 he inherits the heff user name and associate avatars. He’s not only unimpressed with following the club, but also the inheritance package.
Damn kids are so ungrateful these days.
Pies are following the same blueprint of many other flag winners over the last 30 or so years, topping up with trades in order to keep their slim flag chances alive, while they still have an experienced core and a sprinkling of bona fide stars. It hasn’t worked for any team going down that path, and it won’t work for the Pies. The experienced core is looking a bit shaky these days, as injury, form and age are now catching up with that core. Other teams are also catching up and that series of close wins they built up over the last few years came at a cost we will see this season, it is not sustainable long term. Also Daicos the Better is struggling this off season with an injury.
Won’t make the finals
I love you
“I like the Pies. They beat us lots.”
I’ve got Collingwood as a top 4 team this year barring significant injuries.
They’ve got an easier draw. They’ve improved their list with Perryman and Houston. They are a club that (unfortunately) will respond to a sub-par season.
I think the pies are pretty hard to read.
Their young core ain’t great, excluding the star power of the daicos boys. Their recruiting has been really average.
Their older core are getting long in the tooth.
But they are well coached and recruited for the here and now in the off season.
Predicting a 6-12th finish, with no one wanting to to play them in a final (should they make it)
Good move. The loss for the Pies l mean.
De Goey on modified training program due to bone bruising.
Hopefully a season long modified program
Thought their flag in 2023 was a flash-in-the-pan, but they have some of the best top-end talent in the league.
Will win more than they lose, the health and form of Moore is vital however. They’re cooked if he goes down.
please be ■■■■ this year.
But not as ■■■■ as Melbourne.
Just had a few off the wood down in Welshpool, man Leppa is nice bloke. The pies did well picking that guy to list manage.
I’d want to go play for him. Maybe it was the free pints, maybe it was the fishing chat, maybe I was slightly star struck…but I’d sign the dotted line for 500k a year
If they did win it this year, their list would be older than Geelong’s in 2022. They have backed every single one of their 30+ players in, and even added another (Membrey), so they aren’t overly concerned with their age profile. If they all stay fit, they’ll be a top 6 team at the very least. Mentally they’ll be locked in again after last year’s downer. Well and truly suffered a premiership hangover in the early rounds but never quite got back to their 2023 best. 4th-6th for me, and if they got on the soft side of the final draw could go on a September run. ■■■■■■■ hope not!
