Charlie Ballard confirmed ACL tear. Very innocuous incident.
He’s a pretty bl00dy important player for them. That hurts them.
Mac Andrew definitely plays back this season now.

I reckon Mac Andrew being forced into a defensive spot is the best thing for him.
He may be a decent tall forward, but I’m very confident he could be a multiple AA key defender.
Read could play that role and would be really good at it i think. Versatile, tall and a great kick.
Geez he looks amazing. I can’t get over how silky his skills are for a guy of that size. Clubs are going to put monster offers in front of him very soon.
If you wanted to keep Draper and play him as a guy who plays 70% ruck then Read would be the ideal sort of player to target as a key forward/relief ruck who plays the other 30% in there.
I really like Gold Coast’s pink guernsey for Gather Round. While it might not be everyone’s cup of tea, I think it looks fantastic. I’ve always thought Gold Coast should embrace a Miami Vice–style colour palette (black/pink/blue)—it works for Miami Heat.
It should genuinely be their home jumper.
Agreed. It just works.
Their home strip is just a piece of ■■■■, this colour scheme works so much better
The problem with that jumper is that you can see the logo.
They’d have to change their song too
Unfortunately looking like they may have got their act together.
It does look good, but I’d like to see the home jumper with an actual visible logo first before changing the colours permanently.
A yellow jumper with a red logo and side lines with red shorts would look great imo. Then the pink one could be the clash jumper. Instead of now with them trying to insert blue to their clash to be even more like the only other team in their state, the lions.

Credit to Daniel Rioli. Feels like he’s passed Cyril early, but he had plenty of injuries early days and retired early.

And I had my hopes up super high that this mid bull gun was gunna just magically appear in the Hangar ![]()
That was never going to happen.
Had a pretty charmed run with injury all year and all of a sudden they’ve lost two of their best and most important players in the space of a week - Touk Miller and Daniel Rioli. Gonna really test their mettle now.
Let’s hope it all means that come their make-up game against us there is a finals spot still on the line so that they’re up for it (for our draft purposes).
@James98 is starting to get a little concerned I hear

Regretting the purchase of a grand final guarantee with the membership is what I hear.
If you have to win to make your first ever finals series, playing Port at Adelaide in Hinkley’s final game into a weird four day break mid-weeker against an opposition with nothing to lose, you might get a slight build up of nerves.
