If he was young, Brad would of played him as sub

Sorry but of almost every single one of his decisions in 20 years, this is the least of all to hang on Dodoro.

Massimo was 110% Brad.

Of course

Sam Mitchell’s stint at West Coast as a player and assistant coach appears to be paying dividends. First Barrass and plenty of chatter about Oscar Allen and Harley Reid.

The fact the Hawks know how to play footy certainly helps the case too.

Oscar Allen is a higher risk than the other two though.
He was great as an U18 player, but his injuryproblems have severly hampered him.
This has a bit of the Jaegar O’Meara / Jonathon Patton feel to it.

Yeah don’t disagree that it’s definitely buyer beware with him. The clue will be in how much West Coast are prepared to offer him in terms of tenure. If they were super confident that his knee issues didn’t pose much of a problem then they’d fight tooth and nail to keep him. From afar and reading the tea leaves, it’s kind of has that degenerative sort or vibe to it.

It feels like a long time since he’s really played up to his best.

They may not even need a medical examination.
Allen did his knee in 2022?
He’s had two full years and whatever he gets out of this one.
He’ll be 27 next year.

If he doesn’t get back to a decent level by the end of the year, he’s an incredibly high chance to be broken goods and won’t get much better than he is now.

Good luck to them on that gamble.

Reid and Mitchell would not have crossed paths as neither were there at the same time.

Yeah sorry, with Reid no direct involvement. The other two certainly and they might help influence his decision.

Except Barrass invited both to his wedding and sat them at the same table.

Any chance a few teams can knock these ■■■■■ off their perch. Sick of hearing about them, sick of seeing them.
Off you ■■■■ Hawthorn.

Former teamate invites him to his wedding = means hes going to Hawks lols dosen’t mean crap.

Players getting invited by former team mates to weddings happens all the time.

Do ex-players usually place them next to their coach? Barrass was obviously told to do that. Whether it works remains to be seen but it was certainly a deliberate recruiting ploy.

He played with Reid for only a year.
He only invited 8-10 team mates
He placed him on Sam Mitchell’s table.
All planned to perfection.

We wait and see still dosent mean anything tho imo.

Can’t believe Nino is against this. It’s the type of thinking you usually align with :grinning:
