Season 2025 - Richmond

He was arrested and charged with assault occasioning actual bodily harm. “The Richmond Football Club can confirm that AFL player Noah Balta has been charged with assault after an incident on the 30th December, 2024 ,” the club said last week. “As the matter is now before the courts the club can make no further comment.

Must be a huge rug!!

Its easy to punish players when it doesn’t matter about your finals hopes, and carrot of a better draft pick.

Lalor has a broken jaw

Bad break (no pun intended) for him and the Tigers. Surely Ginbey gets looked at? He deliberately pushed him and caused the incident/injury…

Dion Prestia injured and will miss the start of the season. I for one can’t quite believe it.

Oldest trick in the book.

How are Prestia"s hammies even attached anymore ?
I get they are a very young list, but what is the point of retaining him on the List ?
They have mature big bodies in Hopper & Taranto.

The victim didnt see him coming.

In the AFL he would get fined $2000.
If found guilty its an assault and would lead to jail time and delisting.

Lets face it he will get off because AFL

Not condoning violence but give him a big fine and community service order, jail would achieve nothing.

That’s a big but.

Jail time will provide justice, deterrence and send a message to society that such violent behavior isn’t acceptable.
