People need to remember that’s only a 2nd year player and has 20-odd AFL games under his belt. He’s gonna be a fantastic young player, but the pressure being heaped on the kid is way too much. Hopefully he’s got a good support network around him, not just at the Eagles but away from footy too.

WCE have rarely finished at the bottom of the ladder in their entire time in the AFL. The club, and their supporters, are not used to them being ■■■■. Normally, when they have a bad season, they rebound pretty quickly. This is the first time where the system has got them and they look like they’ll spend a 4-5 year period at the bottom of the ladder. Reid has been built up as the saviour of this club.
The exposure that West Coast get over there is like Collingwood here x 10. To put the hopes of a club on the shoulders of a teenager from country Victoria is a lot for him to handle. I don’t know how it plays out re his future, but there are some warning signs for the Eagles…

West Coast’s biggest problem has been poor recruiting.
They still haven’t found someone to replace Dean Margetts.

West Australian reporting that WCE AFLW Team are chasing Yasmin Duursma to give Harley Reid another reason to stay in Perth.
Would be funny if that happens and then she gets home sick and gives him more reason to leave

She was originally drafted by Port Adelaide and left them to go home to Victoria (to Fark Carlton).
The bait might be more game time as it appears that she only got three games last year.

Hate the eagles with a passion, but that’s my second drinking session with him, and not a better bloke to listen to yarns from.
Super humble, very matter of fact, and just an honest human. Very different to players you meet of this era.
