Season 2026 - Geelong

If one is electing to fool around with a footballer, one would want to be going in with one’s eyes very much open.

As someone once said… “footballers… if they weren’t good at football, you’d probably throw rocks at them”

You could probably extrapolate that to any activity that results in a group of young men with a large amount of disposable income…

Yep, these women know exactly what the score is. To suggest otherwise would be naïve. It’s a time-honoured dynamic: they get access to celebrity, status and money, while Bailey gets access to them.

Knowing a few Crows and Port lads over the years many regret that the club started changing travel arrangements to fly home straight after interstate games. A lot of the lads loved playing interstate every second weekend for obvious reasons

Not sure if this would be legally sound. But then I am not a lawyer.

Geelong has been identified as the AFL club that is reported to have reached a contractual agreement with a star player to protect itself from potential future legal action.

In a bombshell development first reported by Code Sports, a current Geelong player has signed a new deal to assume responsibility for any brain injuries he receives in future.

In a landmark agreement which had not previously been disclosed, the player is reported to have signed off on a deal where he has acknowledged he will play with a higher risk of potentially significant long-term or even permanent neurological damage.

According to the report, the player, who has already suffered a number of head knocks during his career, and the club first agreed to a deal two years ago.

The player, who has not been identified, is reported to have reached the agreement in a desperate attempt to continue his football career, while the club also hoped to help the player extend his career, while also protecting itself and medical staff from future legal action.
