My thoughts too, but if Iām not mistaken, some, if not all of the other VFL games have been open to the public.
Anyway, AFL, always thinking of the fans hey.

Geelong also have a bit of an aversion to the public having access to their ground. Not sure if that has played a role at all.

How our VFL team gets less competitive every year is beyond me.

Cause its basically a brand new team. The volume of changes in off season means no continuity to create synergy. 3/4 of the team would be new today

The Geelong ground is protected by a trust. They make all the decisions about who and when people can go on the ground and in the stands. Even the players.
Iāve worked down there and had to wait about an hour to be let on to the ground.
So the trust would have decided and they are hard to shift.
