Some Swans have flocked up

They don’t fly to Wollongong from Avalon. Only Gold Coast, Brisbane, Adelaide and, would you believe it, multiple times to Sydney each day.

Good try but you are going to absolutely cop it from the Blitz fact checkers after this

They have been at their absolute worst

More buried as in, “Oh, it was just a misunderstanding and our fine young athletes would never, ever do something so morally reprehensible as a sexual assault”. Meanwhile out the back with some very large brown paper bags.

I think the AFL can have their cake and eat it too here.

Just suspended them for bringing the girls back to an AFL hotel room anyway. That way they can wait to learn more of the specifics of the incident and act after that as well.

Ok, but I don’t think that will happen as the public will pile on the afl and swans and expect blood from the bloods. Social media influencers are going hard.

Interesting wording form his manager saying that Blakey wasn’t questioned. He didn’t say that he wasn’t involved.

This incident may completely derail the Swans finals journey to yet another grand final thumping.

They’re finished for 2026. No heeney, Warner, etc if banned by afl. Out in straight sets.

I wish James Hird would just apologise for this so we can all move on.

At the very least if a 2 game ban they will lose their qualifying final with those players out

Brisbane most likely straight through to a prelim, just what didn’t want. Then again they could lose to Pies this week so Cats or Dees pushing for that 3rd spot

I think a Brisbane vs Freo GF would be good.

Neutral venue and the two best teams in the comp. I’m hoping that’s how it pans out.

I also wouldn’t care who wins. A three-peat or a maiden flag. Both pretty cool outcomes.

Freo inaugural flag would be great.

Was watching one if those afl dribble nonsense afl talk shows and they were discussing bans, impacts on finals, delay of all Australian team announcements, integrity of finals…. Not once did anyone say players have presumption of innocence until proven guilty. I don’t know if that’s a reflection of them in general just assuming the worst, or if they know thebplayers are farked, but it did seem odd.

Bringing the game into disrepute…. Such a catch all for anyone who dares darken their pure white image…

Why didn’t the players just get the strippers to sign a waiver?

How the AFL media is not blaming Essendon is remarkable.

Ok that’s thinking outside the square

All the articles mention that the incident happened after they beat us. No doubt inferring that none of this would have happened if we hadn’t lost.

Yes, but they need to be more deliberate.

The article should have started with, Essendon opponents get tricked into partying….,
