I actually thought the media conference was fine. What I took from it:
- Club is sorry for the impact on Ben but had to check Clarksons interest given the circumstances
- Club is conducting external review to benchmark against best practice
- Decision on current coach on Sunday.
- Outside of coach (as per above) no club “positions” are under review. I take this to mean that there is no focus on particular positions or roles, but if the review identifies short comings then that will be addressed (Ie people will be cut)
He did struggle to defend the “process” for Ben’s appointment, but that is why the review is needed.
