ALLRIGHT!!!

Used to watch him fronting Kush at The Prospect in the early - mid 70’s

That is Lou Reed’s song. Why would anyone want to listen to anyone but Lou Reed?

That`s the dorkiest thing i have seen for ages. Looks like he is trying to sing Lou Reed and Channel David Bowie.

A very decent footy player in the Amateurs in the 70’s - From memory has was a winger in either first or second division.

And absolutely nothing funny at all. Complete waste of time.

Used to be great when Mick told the story behind the song. Could hear a pin drop. Hasn’t told it for a while. Great live.

My old next door neighbor in Oak Park was one of Kush’s drummers.
He was also the house drummer at the Swagman!
Also tells a funny story of how he “almost” joined ACDC. Apparently he was playing with a band on the same bill, when he heard a loud ruckus coming from backstage. Seems Bon and the drummer, (maybe Phil Rudd), having an almighty barny. So Bon decks the drummer, turns to my neighbor and says “right oh, you’re in”. Neighbor, quite rightly in fear of his well being. says “No!”. After a bit of back and forth, he manages to get Bon and the drummer together having a beer, ( and probably and ice pack). and all was forgiven.

I knew the bass player in the Swagman house band. They played there so often, they would simply leave their instruments and gear at the joint to save all the lugging in and out.

One day, he got a call from the manager suggesting it would be a good idea for the musos to pick up their stuff and take it home. That night, the Swagman burnt down. Amazingly, the insurance company suspected arson and didn’t want to pay out!
