Wim could out cringe most people on here with his music choices
Imagine coming to the concert to hear push the little daises and going home a different person
Love that album⌠the closest they ever came to a streamlined, focused album without resorting to T&A jokes (well⌠obvious Stroker Ace pun notwithstandingâŚ)
Iâm sure longstanding Ween fans hated it and thought it was selling out, but it was my entry point into the band⌠having dismissed them as a puerile Dribble J novelty act for many, many yearsâŚ
That song certainly meets thread title requirements for me
Itâs funny, when I was listening to Hole the other day, I was thinking I really should be listening to L7. Always dug this song.
L7 had an album called âBricks Are Heavyâ in the early 90s and I remember Au Go Go Records (upstairs) had for sale a house brick signed by the band members.
Dunno if anybody ever bought it.
I remember when they played Alternative Nation they talked on stage between songs about touring with Cosmic Psychos and how theyâd encouraged them to also get naked on stage on that tour. âI canât believe I showed my beaver!â the singer exclaimed. Unforgettable line.
Wasnât it one of the L7 lasses who famously on stage extracted a âladyâs sanitary itemâ from her⌠erm⌠âbitsâ and proceeded to fling it into the crowd?
I was thinking the same thing but was too scared to post it!
L7 is/was a slang term for âsquareâ. The band members were most definitely not!
Iâve got a mid-90s Willie Nelson tribute album called âTwisted Willieâ with the usual unevenness in quality of cover versions, which is typical of such albums.
One of the standout tracks is L7 doing âThree Daysâ.
WellâŚthat wasnât on my âweird albums of Wimâsâ bingo card
