Was mixing a little cover band in a pub called Roosters by the Bay in Port Melbourne in the early 80’s and this song was the last one in the second set. Finished it, went to the bar for a drink, and was bought one by Manfred Mann. He was in town, having a quiet night out, and liked the sound of his song. Was really weird

wasn’t Lonely Boys was it- regulars at Roosters either Friday or Saturday from 87 onwards if I remember.
