Who knows, with Whately gone, it might get some airing on ABC Grandstand.

Mark Robinson with a massive few swipes of Ed bleating over bullying in a HS article up online that includes the Goodes debacle & also the below.

The Watson comment relates to TW agreeing that De Goey media reporting bordering on bullying.

"As an old news reporter with a hunger to match anyone’s, Ed should know the newsworthiness of the De Goey situation.

Remember, Ed was a key media player in the Essendon supplement saga, and his discussion on his radio program with “Sarah”, the alleged Essendon mother, was as intense as any radio in the past decade.

Pity they didn’t know who “Sarah” was and still don’t.

Pity it inflamed a situation already on red alert.

Pity it triggered a fresh round of bullying of players and key officials involved.

It’s probably why Watson was supportive of McGuire, although when “Sarah” appeared and then vanished without a trace, it’s understood Watson was disillusioned she was put to air in the first place because her bona fides had not been established.

So, Watson knows bullying"

Dave Culbert is such a hypocrite - apparently patience is needed after the Paris’ daughter tested positive - pity he didbt care for the facts in the Essendon saga.

Such a flog.

It is worth mentioning that Handelsman provides expert advice to WADA and sits on Panels that determine whether certain substances are placed on the Banned List. Peter Harcourt also does consultancy work for WADA. In other words they both drink from the same trough as McDevitt, Howman, Reedie, Pound, Fahey to name a few.

It is also worth mentioning that both Harcourt and Handelsman were both members of the Expert Advisory Panel that recommended the addition of meldonium to the Banned List in January 2016. Unfortunately for these two Australian “experts” and 15 of their international colleagues they made a huge error. They had not considered the pharmacokinetic data, in summary - how long it remains in the body (in some cases 9 months). WADA labs were flooded with positive tests in early 2016.

Can I repeat what I have been saying for 5 years - WADA LACK SCIENTIFIC RIGOR and the addition of a substance onto the Banned List is often based on speculation rather than proven scientific evidence.

Posted during the earliest stage of the Saga that Culbert was a hypocrite - he continues to re-inforce my assertion.

Track and field sprinter, Jessica Peris, has reportedly tested positive to a banned substance.

Daughter of Olympic hockey gold medallist, Nova Peris, Jessica, has reportedly tested positive to a banned substance during an ASADA test, there is no indication so far of what substance was allegedly involved.

Peris scractched from last weekend’s Commonwealth Games selection trials on the Gold Coast, and is awaiting the result of her B sample.

In January, Peris defeated leading sprinter, Riley Day, in Queensland, and has clocked a Commonwealth Games B-standard qualifying time in the 200m. Day went on to win the Commonwealth Games selction trials in the 100m as well as the 200m. Peris’s obvious talent made her a serious contender for Commonwealth Games selection.

If Peris’s B sample confirms the breach, it will be Australia’s second drug scandal so far this year after distance runner Cassie Fien tested positive for the banned substance Higenamine. Ms. Fien’s sanction was reduced to nine months due to the fact that the supplement was a contaminated product, found in a sports supplement.

It is unknown if Peris will be found to be a victim of contaminated supplments as well. Either way, all elite athletes are reminded that if you take supplements, your sporting career could be at risk too.

Daily Mail could check its facts, as there was also a surf life saver , plus a baseballer sanctioned.
As to Bomber5au’s post , there is also a raging debate about the performance enhancing effects of cobalt ( found in some vitamins) on racehorses. Although the racing industry anti-doping rules are separate from WADA, this could reflect the vigilante approach of doping authorities.

Presented by Justice For The 34

In no other country has anti-doping been discussed so often by so many. The case for a wide ranging and forward looking anti-doping inquiry is more compelling in Australia than in any other country. Justice for the 34 renews its call for a Senate or Independent inquiry into anti-doping with wide ranging terms of reference which allow all sporting bodies, all athletes, and all interested parties to make representations.

It’s in the national interest.

Support an independent inquiry to sort this mess out.

Oh, but since they are apparently not required to ‘divulge that information’, they have little fear of ramifications.

Its no surprise that those allegedly in the cobalt horse doping have fallen off the map and in the words of one mate…they couldn’t train a pig to get dirty!

Did Eddie address this on radio this morning? He generally likes to have a whack back on the radio whenever there is something critical written.
I would like to hear him try to talk his way around the lack of fact checking before “Sarah” was put to air.

Jessica’s brother Jack’s improvement in times could also be attributed to the move from Darwin to Melbourne, plus a genetic advantage as the son of two champion sprinters (Peris and Batman).
