Fark!
He needs some pagan god of healing, rather than a christian saint who isnāt giving him any help whatsoever.
No drama. The guy is miles away from playing senior footy. Get him right, get him fit, get some magoos under his belt, and take it from there. Save your panic dollars for guys the are genuinely in the frame for game time. This boy has nothing but time at present.
Donāt panic? You must be new. Welcome to Blitz.
Can we delist him now?
Francis has very nicely settled in to the role vacated by Gumbleton.
IM GONNA GUMB FRANG
Itās ok, he has another pick 6 in Myers to discuss the curse of various draft selections during their rehab stints.
Should never have delisted Gwilt.
We should have traded pick 6 for pick 7 then taken Francis there. He would have already had an AA under his belt.
Bloke thoroughly deserved one year even if he played VFL every week.
Id be lying if I wasnāt a little concerned
Heās a pick 6, with that comes expectation. You donāt get picked there for no reason. The fact is heās been proven to be pretty injury prone so far, and a mile away from fitness that is required
I find it extremely disappointing heās nowhere even close to senior selection, or even the fkn JLT series after his second pre season
What you have described is exactly what is expected from a pick #6 going on draft history.
Itās a bigger curse than when Peeto backs a player.
Love your passion WOB and I know you wear your heart on the sleeve. We tend to have such immediate expectations in this 24 hour football discussion era. Francis proven to be injury prone? He has been at the club 14 months! Has payed games of football at both VFL and AFL (and looked good) and completed good blocks of pre-season conditioning over Summer as reflected in his considerable improvement in body composition.
IMHO he is far from a concern at this stage - simply his body isnāt ready. Give him some time. If in 4 years he has reached Gumbleton level struggles - we can all start to lament the ācurse of the Essendon early draft pick tropeā, until then, have a look at a bloke called Josh Begley and realise that talent emerges from places outside the the10 draft picks oftenā¦and enjoy the unpredictability of the emergence of our next Bomber champions (shout out to Zach Merrett!)
yep he rolled his ankle in one of the intra clubsā¦however he did play again recently and moved well/better?
Cortisone jab to settle the ongoing inflammation from the rolled ankle a month ago.
Interesting, can either see he trains a few more days then goes for surgery or he is fine for VFL practice match
Yawn.
Although he is rarely serious, ā ā ā ā has predicted Francis will be a serious star player.
Ranga solidarity
