The big drops there were Admiral Thrawn and who is the Jedi that could find the kid.
Thrawn could be very interesting. I won’t go into details, but he’s one of the most interesting characters in the SW universe.
Who is the Jedi? Clearly ain’t going to be Mark Hamill. I can think of only one, there ain’t many options.
The female Mandalorian from last episode has some interesting possibilities. Weaving that thread with the darksaber looks inevitable.

It’s going to be interesting to see how well they bring the various animated characters into live action. Rosario Dawson did a good job of Ahsoka. Katee Sackoff is a kick ■■■ actress and was already voicing the character. Thrawn would be a really challenging character to nail.

I suspect Luke or Leia as characters could fit into this story. They aren’t going to do a CGI Leia for a tv episode. Maybe Luke, but I’m leaning towards another Jedi.
From a strategic perspective, it makes sense to grow the franchise. Bring in new characters to tell new stories with. The risk with constantly going back to the Skywalker well is that you place more and more limits on the space your stories can take up.
I hope they stay away from the Skywalkers.

Will be interesting to find out who saves Grogu from the Jedi Temple when Anakin was a slaughtering younglings.
It would make sense to be Ezra, now that Thrawn’s whereabouts is a plot point
