surely kelly is replacing stewart in the starting 22 (all things being equal).
he’s only claim to fame being down back was “he’d handle the monsters” to which Lav ended up being the go to guy. kelly plays on the second key forward that ridley was playing on which frees ridley up to be the floating 3rd.
it’s the only way picking up kelly makes sense. i know they didn’t drop stewart this year, but surely they saw he is not going to be the stop gap til one of reid or fletch mk 2 are ready to go.

Our first round kid will obviously get a few games, and then there’s a host of talls that may get a crack at some point.
I haven’t considered Hurley, Baldwin, Eyre, McIrish (or Hird) even in the top thirty.

Yes.
He will be closely managed imo.
Not his best, but good enough.
I think it’d be pointless to try and get Smith back to his absolute best, ie 2018.
Need him a regular, solid contributor. Tackle hard, run hard, head over it and kick a goal a week.
The work he was putting in on 2018 is just gunna grind his knees to nothing.
