Team for the SALAMI CUP

Bellchambers didn't do that much last week in VFL. For once we're looking after our players and not playing them just cause "they're tall" or "can take a mark".

Big boys back in the middle will see Chappy spend more time forward and run a muck with Winterdick! Goddard to spend a little time forward also.

Ins will help the forward line and the guts.

Beyond belief that Bellchambers couldn't get a game.

His match fitness isnt there yet and he is still low on confidence in relation to his injury

Bellchambers was beaten by Hudson in the VFL last week. Hardly surprising he isn’t called up. He obviously needs another run in the twos.

couldn't play the extra tall against this opposition surely - they would run our forward line off our feet (and still might do it, given the poor marking form of our current incumbents).   Someone above mentioned exploiting their undersized defence, but more likely, they would have exploited our oversized attack!

BORING

So he's not ready.

But since he is named as an emergency he would be ok to play if Ryder was suddenly unwell/injured?  Right!!!

pretty much it. Was the same catch cry against the Hawks, oh lets exploit them with talls. Granted a better opposition, being tall in this day and age isn't as big an advantage as some are lead to believe.

pity Ambrose wasn't selected, but that's more based on his earlier form, than last weeks vfl game.

good in's, unlucky for Gleeson. Hope younger merrett gets another full game to.

Goddard and Hocking In. You on the Googs?

I’m surprised we didn’t try to use an underdone ruckman to fix our forward line.

TBell is obviously not ready. Bomber has repeatedly said and shown he's not prepared to risk players.

Agree, and this is a good policy to have. Good ins.

against a backline as small as the dogs it is. Hell Carlton showed it against them 2 weeks ago.

No point protecting players if they aren't 100% fit, so they are fine for finals. We might not even make finals if we don't start winning.

At least we get to see Chappy,Winder, and Goddard all in the same forward line for the 2nd time this year, hopefully they can cause some damage

I'd love if Belly could come in and kick 5 and mark everything that comes his way down forward. But on what form do we have to go on? Same with Ambrose! Love the bloke but he didn't do much last week either. Really sucks Gleeson out and Dempsey still in. But I guess it would be a disservice to Demps to drop him after just coming in late on ANZAC Day. We know what he's capable of when at peak form. Think it could be an easy swap again next week if he fails to perform.

Pretty confident we'll win comfortably. Won't be a total walkover but think we'll do enough to win by 5 goals. If we don't then we're farked. But I think a more structured and routined week will serve the boys better.

Wouldn't mind seeing Zaka get a run in the twos but anywa.

Like his press conferences, Bomber's team selection videos are genuinely impressive.

The bloke has a better grasp of the notion that clubs exist for their members and fans than almost anyone else in football.

If GM wants some inspiration for how to re-connect with the AFL's heartland, he'd be well advised to listen to one of the blokes he shafted so badly last year.

l am not convinced Bomber would want to give GM any advice of that nature, perhaps something along the lines of FOAD might be more like it.

WHERE AYLETT AND ORATZ AT?

Cant see Morris and Williams really getting dominated by 45KG Joe Daniher and the current version of Jake Carlisle.
